The Chronicles of Nesis is free to play, and it stays free through the Alpha release.
I built it solo, and I host it myself on AWS — right now about $15 a month. If you’d like to help keep it online, becoming a patron is the most direct way to keep the servers running.
Patrons (Initiate and up) also unlock everything after Alpha as I port it in — so your support keeps the game online today and gets you what’s coming next. Curious where it goes? Here’s the self-hosted stack and its costs.
Initiate
- Beta and beyond — every post-Alpha build as it ships (the Demo stays free for everyone)
- All game assets unlocked
Hero
- Everything in Initiate
- Deep test suite inspection — per-test history, screenshots, live workers
- Early access to devlog drafts
Legend
- Everything in Hero
- Debug builds — in-game dev tools + debug HUD (Demo & Beta)
- Walkthrough — interactive scene-by-scene map of the game (in progress)
- Worker history — full agent task logs and durations
- Ticket backlog — P3/deferred priorities and subtask detail

When do I get access?
Join a tier on Patreon, then log in with Patreon here. Your tier syncs on login and updates automatically whenever your pledge changes.
Can I change tiers?
Upgrade or downgrade anytime from your Patreon account. The change syncs here automatically — no extra step on the site.
What's a minor version release build?
Each minor version (0.4.x → 0.5.0) ships a playable build with the latest features. Subscribers get access to these as they land, ahead of the public demo.
What's in the Dev Console?
Live status of every test suite, agent, and ticket — the same dashboard I use to run the studio. Hero unlocks per-test history, screenshots, and live worker views. Legend adds full agent task logs and the deferred ticket backlog.
